Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in project engineering or project management within the engineering sector.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification preferred.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Experience in managing budgets and resources.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects from initiation to completion.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Engineer to join the engineering team at PERUNDING TAG. This is a full-time position based in Kulai, Johor. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing engineering projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is strategically important to our organisation, as it directly impacts our ability to deliver innovative solutions and maintain our reputation for excellence in the engineering sector.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects from initiation to completion
• Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
• Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or delays
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, clients, and team members to ensure alignment and transparency
• Prepare and present project reports and documentation
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges
• Manage project changes and variations in scope
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned documentation

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project engineering or project management within the engineering sector
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple stakeholders
• Sound understanding of engineering principles, processes, and best practices
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is preferred
• Experience in managing budgets and resource allocation
