Project Engineer Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia RM 6,500 – RM 8,500 per month
Role Specific Projects
- Review all project scope and technical documentation to be able to support the Project Manager in project delivery, both at sales handover and throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attendance at sales handover meeting
- Preparation of project documents as required on a timely basis and within prescribed deadlines
- Check and accept client and supplier drawings and technical specifications as necessary
- Ensure that all duties are undertaken in a safe and controlled manner and for which suitable training has been provided
- Communication and coordination with internal and extranet stakeholders
- Recording and issuing meeting minutes and actions
Manufacturing / Procurement
- Provide assistance to operations and manufacturing departments as required.
- Raise manufacturing requests for materials and tools/equipment that are supplied in-house
- Obtain quotations for products and services and presentation to Project Manager for acceptance
- Placement of orders for products and services utilising company financial systems
- Oversee the in-house engineering design of mould tooling and provide project approval
- Monitor and expedite delivery of in-house and supplier provided items in accordance with project and order requirements
- Completion and issuance of accurate shipping documentation
- Arrangement and co-ordination of logistics utilising AIS transportation subcontractors
Site activities
- Preparation of application team for site works, producing site handover packs
- Lead site handover meeting, presenting scope of work to Site Manager
- Support Project Manager in detailed site schedule planning
- Monitoring and supporting of site activities by liaising daily with Site Manager/Supervisor and obtaining and reviewing site paperwork
- Monitoring of schedule stock and progress
- Collation and submittal of Manufacturing Record Books detailing completed site activities
- Site visits as necessary as requested by the Project Manager in order to support site
Person Specification
- Proficient in coordinating project work, both in-house and off-site
- Experienced in purchasing, expediting and logistics
- Experienced in purchasing, expediting and logistics
- Clear and effective with their communication skills
- Confident in presenting data /information in a clear, concise manner for approval
- Highly organised and reliable in seeing tasks through to completion
- Able to manage their workload in accordance with project requirements and strict deadlines
- Performs effectively under pressure
- Comfortable working with various IT systems
