Job summary

Macro-Integration Sdn Bhd is seeking a capable Electrical/Mechatronics Project Engineer to oversee system integration projects in Malaysia. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, prepare shop drawings, and drive on-site installation, tests, and commissioning.

The role requires hands-on experience in electrical/control systems, strong coordination skills, and the ability to manage changes and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering is required.
• Experience in system integration, electrical/control systems and project management is needed.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and drafting for projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review client project deliverables with Project Manager.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare and check shop drawings; distribute to installation team and update changes.
• Assist Project Manager with project administrative matters.
• Plan and schedule engineering, installation, and subcontracting activities.
• Manage project schedule and scope of work.
• Maintain safe and compliant job sites; ensure permits are met.
• Identify changes or issues and generate change orders.
• Familiar with electrical, network, base building, and blocking for project implementation.
• Plan testing/commissioning: FAT, SAT, site tests; approve check sheets.

Job description

· Review client project deliverables requirements with Project Manager

· Co-ordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors to ensure project run smoothly & timely delivery of schedule.

· Preparation, checking submission of shop drawings and distribute to installation team. Ensure timely update of changes

· Assist Project Manager on all other project administrative matters.

· Plan and schedule engineering, installation, and subcontracting activities

· Manage the project schedule, and scope of work.

· Maintain a safe & secure jobsite and ensure all permitting and compliance regulations are met.

· Identify and resolve any changes or issues that may arise during the construction phase, including generating change orders. Detail oriented and capable of daily-weekly follow up on all assigned projects.

· Familiarity with electrical, network, base building, blocking requirements for project implementation.

· Familiarity with cable support planning, cable routing, site coordination for project implementation.

· Familiar with Mechanical and Process Utilities Schematics / P&ID for project implementation.

· Familiar with instrumentation and hook up installation details will be an added advantage

· Plan and execute testing and commissioning activities such as Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), site installation test, full loop test, Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and approve check sheets provided by main contractor / consultants

· Able to work extra hours based on project schedule and requirements

· Provide daily and weekly report according to project requirements

· Oversee all technical aspects, engineering, and construction activities according to project plans.

· Prepare and coordinate handover activities include trainings, as built drawings and documentations, site inspection, punch list activities and closure.

· Have experience with AutoCAD and able to do drafting work for projects

Job Requirement:

· Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering

· At least 3 years' experience in System integration business, Electrical / Control Systems setup and installation, networking setup, instruments related project management

· At least 3 years of working experience in the related field for Electrical / Control Systems for fast-track Construction projects of Manufacturing plant with Cleanroom experience is required for this position

· Any of the experience in Allen Bradley, Schneider, Siemens, Wonderware, Wincc will be an advantage if any

· Must have good interpersonal skills and self-motivation

· Required Languages: Fluent in English

· Independent and self-motivated with good initiative and communication skills.

· Able to work under minimum supervision.
