Job summary

RMA Consultants in Malaysia is recruiting for a hands-on BMS and automation engineer to deliver, commission and troubleshoot data center projects on site. You will program PLCs, modify logic, perform functional tests and ensure reliable operation of complex control systems.

The role requires configuring WinCC SCADA and HMI platforms, reading electrical drawings, supporting FAT/SAT and project handover, and traveling to sites as needed to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
• Experience in BMS, PLC automation, electrical commissioning or data center projects is preferred.
• Experience with mission-critical facilities or industrial automation projects will be an advantage.
• Proficient in mainstream PLC platforms such as Siemens, Schneider Electric and Rockwell (Allen-Bradley).
• Familiar with WinCC SCADA systems.
• Experience with MCGS, Weintek (威纶通) or other HMI platforms.
• Able to read LV/HV electrical drawings, control schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiar with power distribution automation and industrial control systems.
• Able to perform basic PLC logic modification and electrical drawing updates.
• Hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting capability.
• Willingness to travel or work onsite according to project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the onsite delivery, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of Building Management System (BMS) and automation systems for data center projects.
• Perform PLC programming modification, system debugging, functional testing, and commissioning to ensure stable and reliable system operation.
• Configure, commission and troubleshoot SCADA and HMI systems based on project requirements.
• Interpret electrical drawings, control schematics and wiring diagrams, and support electrical installation verification.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal engineering teams during project execution.
• Support FAT, SAT, system integration testing, and project handover.
• Identify and resolve onsite technical issues in a timely manner to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test records and technical documentation.
