Job summary

Quintus Search in Malaysia seeks a Project Director to lead the full delivery function across multiple AV systems integration projects. You will oversee and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

You will act as the senior escalation point for clients and main contractors, drive risk management, governance, and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle, and oversee commercial

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Technical know-how in Audio Visual, ELV, IT or Electrical industry is essential.
• Strong ownership mindset and execution discipline.
• Stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Structured reporting and problem-solving.
• Ability to operate under pressure across multiple simultaneous projects.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of all assigned SI projects from kick-off to handover and closure.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, execution, commissioning, and final handover documentation.
• Monitor progress, identify risks early, and drive corrective actions to keep delivery on track.
• Ensure governance, reporting cadence, and stakeholder alignment.
• Lead, coach, and manage Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Allocate resources across active projects to meet delivery priorities.
• Set team performance expectations and build a strong delivery culture.

Job description

As a Project Director, you will be responsible for leading the full project delivery functionacross multiple AV systems integration projects. Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery Oversight

• Ensure consistent project governance, reporting cadence, and stakeholder alignment.
• Lead, coach, and manage Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure strongexecution standards.
• Allocate resources effectively across active projects to meet delivery priorities.
• Set team performance expectations, conduct reviews, and build a strong projectdelivery culture.

Client, Main Contractor & Stakeholder Management

• Lead high-stakes meetings (progress updates, variation discussions, issue resolution,acceptance).
• Handle escalations professionally and drive resolution across commercial, technical,and timeline concerns.
• Act as senior point of contact to management expectations and communication with clients and main contractors.

Commercial & Contract Control

• Oversee project financial performance (budgets, cost control, margins,claims/variations).
• Ensure variations are identified early, properly documented, and commerciallymanaged.
• Support procurement planning and vendor/subcontractor management in line withproject needs.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure delivery meets required quality standards and relevant safety/site compliance.
• Drive best practices in documentation, testing procedures, installation standards, andhandover process.
• Maintain strong discipline and coordination across stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 10-15 years of working experience with 5 years in a leadershipposition.

The role is based in Malaysia but may require travel for projects in Southeast Asia.
