Job summary

Trac Consulting & Engineering Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Project Manager to coordinate ELV systems projects (CCTV, door access, IDS) across remote and on-site sites. You will develop systematic approaches, track progress with stakeholders, and ensure milestones are met.

You will review testing method statements, test reports and defect lists, assist the design team with inputs, and provide timely support to resolve critical challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of project management experience in the role of a Project Manager.
• Knowledge of ELV systems (CCTV, Door Access, IDS) is required.
• Ability to communicate well in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work under time pressure and coordinate across multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate remote & on-site project coordination and management of ELV systems.
• Develop systematic approaches to manage assigned projects with stakeholder follow-up.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary consultants, contractors and clients on progress, milestones, and deliverables.
• Assist in review of testing Method Statements, Test Reports and Defect Lists for Security Systems.
• Support Design team with inputs by liaising with relevant parties.
• Provide timely support to resolve critical challenges within projects.
• Own problems to ensure results are delivered to customers.

Job description

To provide Remote & on-site Project Coordination and Management Consultation, Site Commissioning, problem solving, for ELV Systems consisting of integrated security systems (Network/ CCTV/ Intrusion Detection System / Electronic Door Access control systems).

To develop systematic approach to manage the assigned project with close tracking and follow up actions with various stakeholders.

To coordinate closely with multi-disciplinary consultants, contractors and clients on project progress, program, deliverables and milestones.

To assist in review and compilation of testing Method Statement, Test Reports and Defect List documentation for all Security Systems.

Responsible to support the Design team in gathering the necessary information and documents for design inputs, by liaison with the relevant parties.

Responsible to provide timely support and resolve critical challenges within projects

Problem ownership – tenacity to ensure that results are delivered to our customers

Any other job responsibility that will be assigned to you from time to time by your superiors.

Skills and Requirements:

Candidate must possess bachelor’s Degree in Engineering fields, Project Management, or equivalent.

At least 5 years of project management experience in the position of a Project Manager.

Knowledge & experience on ELV systems (CCTV, Door Access, Intrusion Detection System) is required.

Knowledge & experience in Network Switch/AP/Routers configuration is an added advantage.

Ability to work under time pressure, manage multiple tasks and maintaining a positive and patient attitude.

Ability to work with all levels of personnel from end users to senior management.

Ability to communicate well technically, both written and spoken English.

Logical thinker. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
