Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Project Director to oversee complex industrial construction and commissioning projects. You will lead a team of professionals, ensuring adherence to safety, quality and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.

You will coordinate erection, installation, testing and commissioning activities, develop plans and budgets, and provide strategic guidance to drive on-time delivery and client satisfaction across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 10–15 years in project management within industrial construction or power generation; PMP certification preferred.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale construction and commissioning projects, preferably in a senior leadership capacity.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of safety, quality and environmental regulations for industrial construction.
• Willingness for frequent travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination, supervision, and management of erection and installation activities from project inception to completion.

• Collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to effectively manage project risks and mitigate potential delays or disruptions.
• Provide expert technical support and guidance during project development, including tender document review and contract negotiations.
• Support asset owners and operation teams during the warranty period post-project completion, overseeing the timely execution of punch list items and defect rectification works.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in project management within the industrial construction or power generation sector; with PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale construction and commissioning projects, preferably in a senior leadership capacity.
• Strong technical expertise in industrial construction and commissioning processes, including erection, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
• In-depth knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental regulations and standards applicable to industrial construction projects.
