Job summary

Aurora Talent is advising a fast-growing data center platform in Asia Pacific to hire an experienced Project Director to lead a flagship development from design through handover.

This role offers ownership of scope, budget and schedule, coordination with design consultants, EPCs, and customers, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years' experience in construction or engineering project delivery.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, power and cooling infrastructure.
• Commercial acumen with contract forms, claims, variations and disputes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of a large-scale data center project , including scope, cost, schedule, quality and safety.
• Lead the owner's-side project team and manage design consultants, EPC or general contractors, and specialist MEP packages.
• Take accountability for the project budget, cash flow, change control and commercial outcomes, working closely with the commercial and procurement teams.
• Drive design coordination, procurement strategy for long‑lead equipment, and a clear path to commissioning.
• Act as the senior point of contact for hyperscale customers, investors and internal leadership, and report on progress, risks and mitigations.
• Build a strong safety culture on site and make sure the project meets local regulatory and permitting requirements.
• Support the wider business with lessons learned, standards and input to future pipeline projects.

Our client is a fast-growing data center platform building hyperscale and colocation capacity across Asia Pacific. It has a strong pipeline of multi-megawatt campuses, and it is looking for an experienced Project Director to lead delivery of a flagship development from design through to handover.

This is a chance to take full ownership of a major project, with the backing of a business that is scaling quickly and investing in its people.

The role

• Own end-to-end delivery of a large-scale data center project , including scope, cost, schedule, quality and safety.
• Lead the owner's-side project team and manage design consultants, EPC or general contractors, and specialist MEP packages.

About you

• You have 15+ years' experience in construction or engineering project delivery, including at least 5 years leading mission‑critical projects such as data center, semiconductor etc...
• You have a track record of delivering large, complex projects on time and within budget, ideally from the client or developer side.
• You have a strong understanding of MEP systems, power and cooling infrastructure, and the commissioning process.
• You are commercially astute and comfortable with contract forms and with managing claims, variations and disputes.
• You are a confident leader who can manage senior stakeholders and multi‑disciplinary teams across cultures.
• You hold a degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
