Job summary

Global Switch Limited is seeking a Project Delivery Manager to oversee complex, M&E‑intensive construction projects from inception to handover, ensuring technical integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with standards.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage procurement, cost control, planning, and reporting, and drive governance across design and construction, with a focus on risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement to support long‑term business

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex M&E-intensive projects in live environments.
• Proficient in procurement, contractor oversight and cost control.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and reporting for large programmes.
• Deep understanding of building systems, regulatory frameworks and technical standards.
• Ability to align construction programmes with business objectives and cost targets.
• Knowledge of local Health & Safety regulations and Designers’ Risk Assessments.
• Proven ability to influence internal teams, external partners and senior stakeholders.

About the Role

As Project Delivery Manager, your role is accountable for the successful delivery of complex, M&E-intensive construction projects from inception through handover, ensuring technical integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organisational standards. It combines strategic leadership with hands-on project management, covering feasibility, design, procurement, and construction phases while maintaining rigorous governance, cost control, and programme assurance. The position drives stakeholder engagement across engineering, operations, and commercial teams, ensuring customer requirements are integrated into every stage of delivery. By championing process optimisation, risk management, and continuous improvement, the role safeguards operational excellence and supports long-term business objectives through innovation and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project management from inception through construction and close-out, including feasibility studies, business case development, commercial modelling, board paper preparation, design, planning, tendering, contract negotiation, and operational handover.
• Deliver accurate monthly Group reports in standardised formats, providing the Executive Committee with clear insights into project progress, risks, and performance metrics.
• Direct and manage site-based professional teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure delivery meets scope, budget, and schedule.
• Recruit, develop, and lead internal project teams, setting clear objectives and conducting performance reviews to drive accountability and excellence.
• Apply group-wide processes and best practices to maintain high standards of cost, quality, and programme control throughout design and construction phases.
• Maintain governance, reporting, and compliance across all project phases, including gateway reviews and board-level documentation.
• Align construction activities with M&E and connectivity requirements, ensuring buildability and compliance with corporate standards.
• Ensure full compliance with local permitting regulations and manage sustainability accreditations (e.g., BREEAM or equivalent) during design and construction phases.
