Job summary

Pintas Utama, based in Penang, invites a Civil Engineer to deputise for the Project Manager and oversee site construction activities for slope, roads and infrastructure projects.

You will review contractor submissions, liaise with authorities and consultants, and ensure compliance with project documents. Travel and outstation work are required, with the ability to work under pressure and independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline from an accredited recognised University.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for Project Manager.
• Follow up construction activities at site.
• Ensure the sub-contractor’s adherence to construction documents and latest Authorities’ regulations.
• Assist in reviewing contractors submission (shop drawings, materials, RFI, etc.).
• Provide all necessary on-site direction.
• Liaise with JKR, consultants and subcontractors.
• Monitor sub-contractor’s physical work progress.
• Assist in preparing documents for project handover.

5. Willing to travel and work outstations.
6. Able to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision.
