Job description

Jora Malaysia will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

Based at our Johor Bahru office and reporting to the Project Manager and Director, the Project Coordinator supports the planning, documentation, coordination and progress control of NCPL's Singapore projects from tender stage through to handover.

You will work daily with our Singapore-based site and delivery teams, and with clients, consultants, main contractors and authorities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Planning and Programming

Prepare and maintain master programmes, micro-schedules and look-ahead programmes for Singapore projects, ensuring correct sequencing of construction activities and adherence to agreed milestones.

Track actual progress against the programme, flag slippage early, and propose recovery measures.

Maintain manpower and resource plans, including planned-versus-actual man-day tracking.

2. Project Requirements and Technical Review

Review tender and construction drawings, specifications and contractual scope of work to develop a thorough understanding of project requirements.

Identify discrepancies, gaps and buildability issues and raise them for resolution.

3. Documentation and Submissions

Prepare method statements, risk assessments, hoisting plans, site utilisation plans and project execution plans to Singapore requirements.

Support regulatory and authority submissions, including preparation and tracking of documentation submitted

Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and client circulation.

Assist in preparing tender proposal documents and technical submissions.

Maintain project registers: RFIs, material submittals and approvals, site instructions, variation orders, extension-of-time records, and as-built and handover documentation.

4. Stakeholder Coordination

Liaise and coordinate with Singapore authorities and agencies — BCA, SCDF (FSSD), URA, and where applicable LTA, PUB, NEA, JTC, HDB and MOM — supporting timely and complete submissions.

Coordinate with Singapore clients, consultants, Qualified Persons, main contractors, subcontractors, vendors and material suppliers across all project phases.

Coordinate internally with design teams, drafters, project managers, quantity surveyors, site supervisors, team leaders and administration across both offices.

5. Site Support and Problem Resolution

Support site surveys, measurements, inspections and project meetings; record and follow through on action items.

Resolve engineering, technical and project queries promptly, escalating where decisions sit above the role.

6. Safety, Quality and Compliance

Support compliance with Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health Act and the WSH (Construction) Regulations, including risk assessments, permits to work and safe work procedures.

Support quality requirements including BCA buildability and CONQUAS expectations where applicable.

Ensure work and documentation comply with the company's management system requirements and support internal and external audits.

7. Other

Undertake other duties reasonably required to support project delivery.

Requirements and skills

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building/Construction Management or equivalent. (Min Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.)

Minimum 5 years' experience in building construction, of which at least 3 years in project coordination, planning or site execution with a main contractor or specialist subcontractor.

Fully proficient in written and spoken English. All project documentation, correspondence, submissions and meetings with Singapore clients, consultants and authorities are conducted in English — this is a genuine requirement of the role, not a preference.

Proficient in AutoCAD and in programming software (Microsoft Project or equivalent) — able to build and update a critical-path programme independently.

Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the discipline to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.

Able to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in another country — clear written updates, responsive communication, and comfort with video meetings and shared document systems.
