Job summary

INV New Material Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd., a lithium battery separator manufacturer in Penang, seeks a Production Manager to lead factory floor operations, plan production schedules and ensure output meets quality and delivery targets.

The successful candidate will oversee safety, 7S practices, coach teams, collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Operations, Warehouse, and Equipment, and drive continuous improvement with a focus on cost reduction and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• 5+ years manufacturing factory production line management experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends during peak workload periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production organization and management plans for supervised teams in line with SOPs.
• Execute production targets and KPIs from Production Department.
• Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities per schedules, quality standards, and conditions.
• Participate in continuous improvement to boost productivity, quality, and reduce costs.
• Maintain workplace safety and ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
• Implement 7S practices to keep a clean, organized, and efficient workplace.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluation for team members.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Operation, Warehouse, and Equipment teams.

Job description

INV New Material Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd. is a China-based company specializing in the manufacturing of lithium battery separators. We are the first lithium battery separator factory in the ASEAN region, situated at Penang Technology Park@Bertam

• Develop and implement production organization and management plans for the teams under supervision, ensuring compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational processes.
• Execute production targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) assigned by the Production Department to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
• Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities according to production schedules, technical requirements, quality standards, and operational conditions, while monitoring the production process to ensure output meets quantity, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, improve product quality, increase operational efficiency, and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Maintain workplace safety within the assigned teams by conducting safety training, inspections, and hazard identification activities. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and relevant Malaysian safety, health, and environmental regulations. Support fire safety, occupational health, and environmental management programs, and implement effective risk control measures.
• Implement and maintain workplace management and 7S practices to ensure a clean, organized, safe, and efficient working environment.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluation for team members based on operational requirements and performance objectives to support employee development and workforce effectiveness.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with other production teams and cross-functional departments such as Quality, Engineering, Operation, Warehouse, and Equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree in Business Management / Operations Management / Engineering, or equivalent study
• More than 5 years of Manufacturing factory production line management experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working on the factory floor and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work overtime or weekends as required during project rollout or peak workload periods.
• Strong leadership, planning, analytical, and communication skills.
