Job summary

Zelcos Laboratory Sdn. Bhd. is a Penang-based cosmetic research and manufacturing company specializing in OEM, ODM, and private-label services.

We produce skincare, personal care, hair care, cosmetics, toiletries and fragrance upholding Halal, GMP and ISO standards. The role oversees production leaders and operators, ensuring lines are prepared for each batch, materials are correct, and production targets meet quality specs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production leaders and operators to ensure SOP and specs compliance.
• Ensure machines and lines are properly set up for each run.
• Lead daily production briefings and allocate manpower efficiently.
• Verify correct raw materials and ingredients for each product.
• Review production reports, output, yield, and WIP against standards.
• Identify efficiency issues, propose improvements, and support troubleshooting.
• Coordinate maintenance of plant facilities, machinery and equipment.
• Monitor operator performance, discipline, and safety compliance.
• Participate in new product trials, audits, and production improvement activities.
• Communicate QC policies and updates to production staff.
• Plan and manage rework of materials and finished products when needed.

Job Description

Supervise production leaders and operators to ensure compliance with SOPs, product specifications, packing requirements, and production schedules.

Ensure machines and processing lines are properly set up for each production run.

Conduct daily production briefings and allocate manpower effectively.

Verify the correct raw materials and ingredients are used for each product.

Review production reports, output, yield, and work-in-progress stock against standards.

Identify efficiency issues, recommend improvements, and support troubleshooting of process or equipment abnormalities.

Coordinate the maintenance of plant facilities, machinery, and equipment.

Monitor operator performance, discipline, and workplace safety compliance.

Participate in new product trials, audits, and production improvement activities.

Review QC reports and communicate relevant policies, instructions, and updates to production personnel.

Plan and manage the rework of raw materials and finished products when required.

Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

SPM, Diploma or equivalent qualification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.

Experienced in a manufacturing or production environment.

Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsible, disciplined, and able to work as part of a team.
