Job summary

Glimex Industries Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Production Supervisor to lead the Production Department and Quality Control, ensuring efficient planning, scheduling, and KPI achievement. The role includes on-site training, attendance monitoring, and coordination with Sales for on-time deliveries.

You will implement cost-saving measures, uphold safety standards, and maintain the company's QMS and SIRIM certification, while supporting cross-training across departments.

Responsibilities

• Overall in-charge of the Production Department and Quality Control to achieve performance for quantity and quality of work produced.
• Conduct on-site training, scheduling, and establishing goals, standards and evaluations.
• Plan, organize and coordinate production lines for efficiency, productivity and KPI targets.
• Identify and implement methods to increase cost effectiveness and reduce unproductive hours.
• Monitor attendance and manage leave applications for staff under Production.
• Coordinate with Sales Coordinators to ensure daily deliveries align with the plan.
• Ensure safety, health and environment requirements are followed.
• Maintain the department's Quality Management System and SIRIM Production Certification.
• Authorize release of finished products in the absence of QA/QC Supervisor.
• Coordinate on-job training and cross-training for new personnel and other departments.

Job description

Overall in-charge of the Production Department and Quality Control to achieve performance for quantity and quality of work produced. This includes on-site training, scheduling, establishing goals and standards and evaluations.

Responsible in planning, organizing and coordinating the production lines to its optimum in term of efficiency, productivity, acceptable quality and achieving goals (KPI) set by the management.

Responsible to continuously identify, evaluate, initiate, establish and implement methods, to increase cost effectiveness, productivity in factory floor by decreasing risk and unproductive hours.

Responsible in monitoring the attendance of all employees under his care. This includes leave application of all staff under Production Department.

Responsible to liaise with Sales Coordinators in delivery planning to ensure the daily delivery is according to Delivery plan.

Responsible to ensure that all government and company requirements elating to safety, health and environment are strictly adhered to and enforced.

Responsible to ensure that the departmental Quality Management System is implemented and the company's SIRIM Production Certification Scheme is maintained all the time.

Responsible to authorize the release of finished products for delivery in the absent of the QA/QC Supervisor.

Co-ordinate on the job and cross training for new personnel and other cross-functional department's workers.
