Job summary

Boston Scientific Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to lead a production shift, ensuring efficient operations, quality, and timely shipment. The role emphasizes core performance metrics and cross-functional collaboration across QA, materials, IS, HR and logistics.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years in production and people management, and can work on a rotating 3-shift schedule. Bahasa Malaysia and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a production environment.
• Minimum 3 years of direct reports management experience.
• Skills in supervision, people management, communication, capacity planning, problem solving, operations management, and computer proficiency.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver key performance metrics for the shift/project with a focus on core metrics.
• Coordinate with warehousing, quality assurance, packaging, and sterilization to ensure prompt shipment.
• Maintain GMP and housekeeping standards within the department.
• Provide cross-functional QA, materials, IS and HR support for the team.
• Interact with other manufacturing and Logistics teams to prioritize backorders.
• Perform administration duties including Time and Attendance, holidays, and travel planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery of all key performance metrics on a particular shift/project, with a particular focus on "Core 5" and "9 panel" metrics.
• Liaising with warehousing, quality assurance, bulk-packaging and sterilization areas to ensure prompt shipment of product.
• Maintaining GMP / Housekeeping at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.
• Cross-functional management of QA, materials, IS and HR support for the team.
• Interacting and liaising with the other manufacturing teams and Logistics to prioritize backorders.
• Administration duties which include Time and Attendance system, Holiday planning, Build Plan review Back Order review, Travel planning etc.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's degree.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the production environment is required for this position.
• At least 3 year(s) of experience in direct reports management is required for this position.
• Required skill(s): supervisory, people management, communication, capacity planning, problem solving, operations management, computer proficiency.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
• Able to work on rotating shift schedule (3 shifts).
• Candidate from medical device background will be added advantage.
