Job summary

Hot Print Media PLT is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Penang Island factory. This full-time role oversees daily production operations, ensures targets are met, and maintains high quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

You will manage the production team, monitor output, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong leadership, and solid knowledge of production planning, quality control, and safety

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
• Monitor production output and quality, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce health and safety protocols on the production floor.
• Maintain accurate production records and report on key performance indicators.
• Train and develop production staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Liaise with management and other departments to resolve operational issues and optimise production processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
• Manage inventory and ensure proper maintenance of production equipment.

About the role

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team at our Penang Island facility. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing daily production operations. As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are met whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. This role is essential to the smooth functioning of our manufacturing operations and directly impacts the success of Hot Print Media PLT.

What you'll be doing

Supervising and coordinating production team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules

Monitoring production output and quality standards, implementing corrective actions when necessary

Conducting safety inspections and enforcing health and safety protocols across the production floor

Maintaining accurate production records and reporting on key performance indicators

Training and developing production staff to enhance their skills and capabilities

Liaising with management and other departments to resolve operational issues and optimise production processes

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency

Managing inventory and ensuring proper maintenance of production equipment

Creating a positive and productive work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability

What we're looking for

Proven supervisory or team leader experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control and safety standards

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively

Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced operational settings

Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices

Proficiency in production planning and scheduling

Strong organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Computer literacy with experience in production management systems or similar software

Relevant qualifications in manufacturing, production management or a related field would be advantageous

Knowledge of quality assurance standards and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred
