Job summary

MM COSMETIC SDN BHD, located in Desa Cemerlang, Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing activities and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The role involves planning, manpower allocation, and collaboration with Planning and Quality teams to maintain ISO and GMP standards.

The company operates with modern equipment and a focus on halal cosmetic manufacturing, with ongoing R&D and OEM/ODM capabilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Operations Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of manufacturing or production experience.
• 1–2 years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities according to approved plans and schedules.
• Allocate manpower, machines, materials, and workstations to meet production targets.
• Monitor progress and ensure targets and delivery schedules are achieved.
• Identify bottlenecks and take corrective action.
• Coordinate with Planning/Warehouse to ensure materials are available.

Job description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily production activities to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to established quality standards.

Key responsibilities

Supervise daily production activities according to approved production plans and schedules

Allocate manpower, machines, materials, and workstations to meet production requirements

Monitor production progress and ensure production targets and delivery schedules are achieved

Identify production bottlenecks, delays, and resource constraints and take corrective action

Coordinate with Planning/Warehouse to ensure required materials are available for production

Ensure production records and output quantities are accurately recorded

Ensure production activities comply with approved work instructions, specifications, and quality standards

Monitor production quality and coordinate with the Quality team to address defects and non-conformities

Supervise, allocate, and monitor production operators and other production personnel

Train employees on production procedures, work instructions, equipment operation, and safety requirements

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant manufacturing or production experience

At least 1–2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred

Hands-on experience in production operations, manpower planning, quality control, and production scheduling

Experience with manufacturing systems, ERP/MES, or production reporting systems is an advantage

Training or certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, occupational safety, or production management is an advantage

Able to communicate in both English, Malay and Chinese
