Job summary

HOME PIN (M) SDN. BHD. in Sungai Petani, Kedah, is seeking a Production Supervisor for a full-time role to manage daily production and lead a team on the shop floor.

You will ensure quality, monitor processes, and coordinate with maintenance and other departments to meet targets and deadlines. The position requires strong leadership and knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Production Supervisor or similar supervisory role in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control and manufacturing best practices.
• Ability to interpret production schedules and quality specifications.
• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English preferred.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join the team at HOME PIN (M) SDN. BHD. in Sungai Petani, Kedah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production facilities. As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of production staff to meet our operational objectives. This supervisory role is essential to our manufacturing success and directly impacts our ability to deliver high-quality products to our customers on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily production operations to ensure targets are met and deadlines are achieved
• Supervise and motivate production team members, providing guidance and support to foster a productive work environment
• Monitor product quality throughout the production process and implement corrective actions when standards are not met
• Maintain accurate production records, reports and documentation in compliance with company procedures
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the production line
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure all team members adhere to health and safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate production schedules and resolve operational issues
• Train and develop production staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
• Manage equipment maintenance schedules and report any technical issues to maintenance teams
• Analyse production metrics and performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Comprehensive knowledge of production processes, quality control standards and manufacturing best practices
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting production schedules, technical drawings and quality specifications
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members and other departments
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing operations
• Ability to use basic computer systems and production management software
• Physical ability to work on the production floor and perform regular site inspections
• Relevant qualifications in manufacturing management, supervisory training or related field are advantageous
• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is preferred
