Job summary

Intercontinental Specialty Fats Sdn. Bhd. (ISF) invites applications for a Production Planner to coordinate schedules and resources across our Port Klang operations.

You will monitor production plans, ensure on-time delivery, and drive efficiency and quality in collaboration with Purchasing, QA/QC and Operations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field and 2–3 years of production planning or manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of working experience in Production Planning, Production, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related field.
• Good planning, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage production schedules and priorities.
• Able to work closely with Production, Purchasing, QA/QC, Operation and other relevant departments to achieve Company’s production objectives and targets.
• Good communication skills and able to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Port Klang, Selangor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, coordinate, and monitor production schedules to ensure timely, efficient, and smooth production activities in accordance with production requirements and targets.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate follow-up actions to ensure adequate availability of raw materials and other necessary resources to support uninterrupted production operations and effective stock management.
• Monitor production efficiency, productivity, and overall performance against planned targets, identifying any gaps or issues and taking appropriate follow-up actions where necessary.
• Ensure production output consistently meets established quality standards, specifications, production requirements, and customer expectations.
• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day production operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and effective execution of the production plan.
• Coordinate with relevant inter-unit departments to facilitate effective communication, proper workflow alignment, and timely resolution of production and operational issues.
• Support production planning, process improvement, and operational management initiatives to achieve productivity, quality, efficiency, and delivery objectives.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or equivalent.

At least 2-3 years of working experience in Production Planning, Production, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related field.

Good planning, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage production schedules and priorities.

Able to work closely with Production, Purchasing, QA/QC, Operation and other relevant departments to achieve Company’s production objectives and targets.

Good communication skills and able to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
