Job summary

SIW Manufacturing SDN. BHD. in Penang is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate and plan production activities across Customer Service, Production and Logistics to improve runtime and on-time delivery.

Requirements include a Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Business Management or equivalent, and a minimum of 4 years' proven experience as Production Planner. Strong Excel skills and meticulous organization are essential to manage fast-changing orders.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Organized and meticulous in dealing with fast changing work environment.
• Able to plan production schedule under constraints situation and rapid change requests from customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan production activities to improve runtime across Customer Service, Production and Logistics.
• Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders or requests.
• Develop and review production plan with Manager for approval.
• Monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues.
• Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution.
• Investigate production problems, analyze root causes and provide solutions.
• Communicate production status to Managers, Customer Service and Logistics on a regular basis.

Job description

Production Planner reporting to the Senior Production Manager, responsible for coordinating and planning production activities across Customer Service, Production and Logistics to improve runtime.

Key responsibilities

Work with Customer Service, Production and Logistics in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime

Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders or requests

Develop and review production plan with Manager for approval

Monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues

Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution

Investigate production problem, analyze root causes and provide solutions

Communicate production status to Managers, Customer Service and Logistics on regular basis

Report to Management on production progress, work in progress, raw material and bill of materials

Analyze back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan and schedule the production operations

Coordinate with Managers in planning and implementing engineering changes in production lines

About you

Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Business Management or equivalent

Minimum 4 years of proven working experience as Production Planner

Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Organized and meticulous in dealing with fast changing work environment

Able to plan production schedule under constraints situation and rapid change requests from customers
