Job description

Production Planner (Precision Sheet Metal Manufacturing)

Develop, maintain, and manage detailed production schedules to ensure timely delivery.

Release work orders, drawings, and production requirements in accordance with the established schedule.

Monitor production progress, identify the root causes of schedule deviations, and implement appropriate recovery plans while communicating updates to relevant stakeholders.

Ensure production KPIs and targets are consistently achieved.

Balance production workloads and optimize resource utilization.

Develop master production schedules by determining the sequence and lead time of operations based on sales forecasts and customer orders, ensuring on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, manufacturing efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

SCOPE OF DUTIES

Plan overall production capacity and regularly update production schedules.

Conduct daily and weekly production or project meetings with relevant departments and sections.

Coordinate with other departments, including Projects, Design, Stores, Quality Control, and Production, to resolve operational and production-related issues.

Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.

Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Prepare and submit monthly production reports to management.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Diploma in a relevant field.

2–3 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry.

Strong analytical and numerical skills with good attention to detail.

Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and local languages.

Strong organizational, coordination, and management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
