Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner to create and maintain daily and weekly CNC production schedules. You will prioritize jobs by delivery dates and business priorities, and allocate work across CNC machines to match capacity and capabilities.

Responsibilities include tracking progress, coordinating with operators, updating ERP/MES, and communicating schedule changes to Sales and Customer Service.

• Create and maintain the daily and weekly CNC production schedule.
• Prioritize jobs based on customer delivery dates and business priorities.
• Allocate work across CNC machines according to machine capability and capacity.
• Sequence jobs to reduce setup time and improve machine utilization.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules when required.
• Plan machine loading based on available hours and manpower.
• Identify production bottlenecks before they affect delivery.
• Recommend overtime, outsourcing, or schedule changes when necessary.
• Maintain realistic production lead times.
• Ensure every job released to production has approved drawings, CNC program, correct revision, required tooling, fixtures, and job traveler.
• Track job progress throughout production and update ERP/MES with accurate status.
• Communicate schedule changes to relevant departments.
• Work with Purchasing to ensure materials arrive on time.
• Coordinate recovery plans for late jobs and provide delivery updates to Sales and Customer Service.
• Reduce machine idle time and improve On-Time Delivery (OTD).

Material Coordination

Prevent production delays caused by missing materials.

Delivery Management

Coordinate recovery plans for late jobs.

Provide delivery updates to Sales and Customer Service.

Reduce machine idle time.

Improve On-Time Delivery (OTD).

Reduce work-in-progress (WIP).
