Job summary

TECAN CDMO SOLUTIONS PN SDN. BHD. in Penang seeks a Production Planning professional to ensure material readiness, production continuity, and on-time delivery aligned with customer requirements and company targets.

You will plan, release, monitor, and close Assembly Work Orders with accurate BOM, routing, and revision control, while coordinating with PCBA Planning, QA, Warehouse, Logistics, and suppliers/vendors to secure Semi-FG and materials for scheduled builds.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
• Training in Production Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or ERP/MRP.
• 2–5 years’ experience in Production Planning, Production Control, or Manufacturing Operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate assembly production based on demand and capacity.
• Create, issue, monitor, and close Assembly Work Orders with accurate BOM, routing, and revision control.
• Develop and issue the Daily Production Plan (DPP) aligned with customer requirements and shipment needs.
• Monitor WIP, WO aging, and material readiness to prevent delays and ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with PCBA Planning, Warehouse, QA, Logistics, and suppliers/vendors for Semi-FG, materials and kits.
• Manage VMI, temporary-release, and consigned materials per procedures.
• Ensure ECN/ECO changes are implemented before production and communicated to relevant personnel.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports covering DPP achievement, WO aging, WIP, Semi-FG stock, and shortages.

To ensure effectiveplanning, scheduling, and coordinationof Assembly productionactivities by maintainingmaterial readiness, productioncontinuity, work orderaccuracy, and on-time delivery inline with customerrequirements and companytargets.

Responsiblefor workorder management, includingcoordination of Semi-FG/FG availability, material readiness, ECN/ECO implementation, production monitoring,WIP control, reporting, while working closelywith PCBA Planning, Operations, QA, Warehouse, Logistics, and suppliers/vendors.

Develop and issuethe Daily ProductionPlan (DPP) basedon customer demandand shipment requirements.

Plan, prioritize, andadjust Assembly productionschedules according tocapacity, material availability, PCBA readiness, andline constraints.

Create, release,monitor, and closeAssembly Work Orders, ensuring accurate BOM, routing, and revisioncontrol.

Monitor WIP andWO aging toensure timely completionand prevent productiondelays.

Coordinate with PCBAPlanner, Warehouse, andsuppliers/vendors toensure Semi-FG, materials, components,and kits areavailable for scheduledbuilds.

Manage VMI, temporary-release, and consignedmaterials in accordancewith established procedures.

Ensure ECN/ECOchanges are accuratelyimplemented before productionand communicated torelevant personnel.

Monitor daily productionperformance against theDPP and initiaterecovery or priorityactions when required.

Identify andescalate material shortages, bottlenecks, line constraints, and production deviations.

Maintain accurate productionplanning records,traceability, and KPIreports.

Prepare and submitdaily/weekly reportscovering DPP achievement, WO aging, WIP, Semi-FG stock, and material shortages.

Supervise and guidethe Store Assistantto support materialand production-planningrequirements.

Support urgent builds, recovery plans,and customer-prioritychanges while ensuringcompliance with companyprocedures.

Basic Education

Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent

Further Education

Training in Production Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or ERP/MRP

Experience

2–5 years’ experience in Production Planning, Production Control, or Manufacturing Operations

Language Skills

Good command of written and spoken English; able to communicate effectively across departments

Technical Knowledge and Skills

Production planning and scheduling; manufacturing flow; BOM, routing, ECN/ECO and revision control; WIP and material management; ERP/MRP system; good Excel and data analysis skills

Physical Requirements

Able to work in a production/Assembly environment; able to conduct regular shop-floor monitoring
