Job summary

TECAN CDMO SOLUTIONS PN SDN. BHD. seeks a Demand Planner to manage customer demand, forecast accuracy and material planning. You will liaise with Production Control and Production to align output plans with customer requirements and coordinate ongoing demand reporting with the team.

In this role, you will oversee inventory optimization, material availability analysis, ECN implementation, and coordination of new product transfers and EOL activities to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Preferred Degree with min 5 years of experience.
• Experience in demand planning, order management and material management.

Responsibilities

• Be primary contact for customers in Demand/Forecasting/Order Management/Material Management.
• Coordinate output plan with Production Control & Production to meet demand.
• Coordinate periodic reports with team on demand management.
• Manage inventory and improve finished goods inventory.
• Analyze material availability and capacity to develop achievable schedules.
• Liaise with customers on delivery commitments and schedules.
• Load customer demand into system.
• Assess production schedules to minimize changeovers and maximize on-time delivery.
• Run system reports to identify material shortages.
• Follow-up with Buyers to ensure materials are available.
• Ensure ECN implementation in a timely manner.
• Manage new product transfers and EOL activities.

Job description

Take care of customers assigned on order planning fulfillment.

Work with internal team for material expediting to maximize revenue output, commit delivery to Customer and on time shipment arrangement to Customer

Manage cancellation and changes, including Engineering Change Order (ECO) to get timely disposition on potential excess and obsolete

A part of Customer Focus Team member to highlight any related materials / delivery issues

Key Duties:

Key contact person to the customers in areas related to Demand / Forecasting/Order Management/Material Management

Communicating with Production Control & Production for the output plan in order to meet Customer demand order requirement

Coordinate periodic reports with team members on demand management

Manage inventory and facilitate initiatives to improve on finished goods inventory (example clearance of slow-moving stocks)

Upon receipt of each customer demand, the Demand Planner shall analyze the availability of materials and capacity to develop achievable schedule.

Liaise with customer on delivery commit and schedules

The demand planner will load the customer demand into system

Assess production schedules optimize run quantities, and minimize changeovers to achieve 100% on-time delivery

Run system reports to determine material shortages that need to be expedited

Follow-up with Buyers to ensure materials are available to support production as per plan.

Ensure all customers' Engineering Change Notification (ECN) are implemented in a timely manner

Effectively manage based on build readiness procedures on new product transfer, and End of Life (EOL) activity

Education:
