Moduslink (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Planner to organize and control production planning functions, ensuring cost-effective methods, lead times, quality, and timely delivery for customers. You will lead Lean initiatives regionally, challenging current practices and deploying Lean methodologies at all levels of the company.

To plan, control and organized the production planning functions using the most cost effective methods possible to minimize line down situation, to shorten manufacturing lead time and at the same time meeting customer’s requirements for quality and timely delivery.
Practise and excecuting the Lean Business Systems deployment for the region. Championing and leading Lean initiatives by challenging current practices and methods through the deployment of the Lean methodology at all levels of the company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Authorize to make decision on the daily production build and daily
· Schedule jobs to manufacturing according to capacity level and scheduling guidelines.
· Plan and load existing and prospective work in manner that will meet customers required date.
· Expediting and maintenancing of all production orders to fulfill desired deadlines and clean/up-to-date in the computer system.
· Maintain communication with Material Planners/Buyers, BM and Manufacturing areas to get most up-to-date information. In case of unplanned machine down or material non-available situations, make recommendations for alternative actions to minimize schedule delay and minimize additional manufacturing cost.
· Maintain an update and accurate schedule file at all times.
THE REPORTING STRUCTURE
· Production Planner will report to the Operations Manager. He or she will be supervise a Planning Coordinator and oversee the Oracle System implementation.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Production Planning initiatives in a production/process-driven environment.
· Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, process engineering, or a related discipline.
· Language Skills, fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Written and Oral)
· Added advantage for having exposure in Value Stream Mapping, Leader Standard Work and Standard Work, 5S tools, SQDIP Daily Management, Lean Cell Conversions, and have led continuous improvement events teaching each tool.
· Effective communication, coaching, teaching and presentation skills, internal influence, and ability to create followership.
· A self-starter with a passion for continuous improvement.
