Job summary

Topaz Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate with the production supervisor on material, standard parts, labour and equipment availability and to understand the production process.

The role involves developing daily production schedules to meet deadlines, reading drawings, promptly resolving production issues to minimize delays, and coordinating with purchasing to maintain spare parts inventory. ERP is used for manufacturing orders.

Qualifications

• Experience as a production planner.
• Ability to read drawings (Very Important).
• Coordinate with production and purchasing teams to align schedules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with production supervisor on material, parts, labor and equipment availability.
• Understand and apply knowledge of production processes.
• Develop daily production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Read drawings and ensure production plans align with specifications.
• Address and resolve production issues promptly to minimize delays.
• Recommend improvements to reduce production costs and improve quality.
• Coordinate with purchasing to maintain spare parts and consumables per schedule.
• Inform relevant departments of schedule changes and reflect updates accordingly.
• Use ERP system to manage manufacturing orders.

Production planners davelope daily production schedule to ensure that production deadlines are met.

Working experience as a production planner and able to read drawing ( Very Important )

To promtly addressing and resolving production issue to minimize delay in production

To recommend viable solutions to reduce production cost as well, as improve production process and product quality.

To coordinate with purchasing to maintain good inventory system all the spare parts and consumable parts are available per production schedule

To inform relevant department if any changes to current production schedule and to reflect the new changes to production schedule as nacessary

Using ERP system for manufacturing order.
