About the role

SMP MEDTECH SDN BHD is seeking dedicated Production Operators to join our manufacturing facility in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our production operations, ensuring the efficient manufacture and quality output of our medical technology products. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring manufacturing machinery, maintaining production schedules, and adhering to strict quality and safety standards. This role is essential to our operational success and directly impacts the delivery of high-quality medical devices to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and specifications
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any equipment malfunctions or defects to supervisory staff
• Monitor production output to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Perform quality control checks on finished products and materials
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines
• Keep work area clean and organised, ensuring compliance with workplace standards
• Report any issues, accidents or safety concerns immediately to management
• Participate in training programmes and continuous improvement initiatives

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Production Operator or similar manufacturing role, preferably in the medical device or medtech industry
• Ability to operate and maintain industrial machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy
• Good understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing environments
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and standard operating procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work multiple shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
• Physical capability to perform manual handling and standing for extended periods
• Preferably holders of relevant certifications or qualifications in machine operation or manufacturing processes
