Job summary

COSMOS PERSONAL CARE (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a dedicated Plant Operator to join our manufacturing team at our Tanjung Langsat facility in Johor.

This full-time role focuses on monitoring and controlling production machinery, maintaining efficiency, and upholding strict safety protocols to ensure high-quality personal care products. You will record production data, adjust settings, and coordinate with maintenance to resolve issues, while working in a shift-based environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plant Operator or in similar manufacturing machine operation role.
• Strong understanding of machinery operation, maintenance procedures, and production processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high product quality standards.
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery and production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify maintenance issues and report any malfunctions promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Record production data, including output quantities, machine parameters, and any incidents or irregularities.
• Adjust machine settings and controls to maintain product quality and meet production targets.
• Follow all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot minor equipment issues under guidance from maintenance personnel.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals and meet delivery schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the role

This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing plant. As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling production machinery, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring that all safety protocols are strictly adhered to. This role is essential to our mission of producing high-quality personal care products and directly impacts our production output and product quality standards.

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Plant Operator or in a similar manufacturing machine operation role

Strong understanding of machinery operation, maintenance procedures, and production processes

Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and gauge readings

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high product quality standards

Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and best practices

Physical capability to perform the duties of the role, including standing for extended periods and working in varying environmental conditions

Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a shift-based environment

Basic mathematical skills for recording data and understanding production metrics

Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Previous experience in the personal care or chemical manufacturing industry would be advantageous
