Job summary

O-I BJC is seeking production operators to support mould changes and ensure bottle quality. The role involves routine inspections, swabbing, and keeping machines and work areas clean and safe.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with 1–2 years of manufacturing experience an added advantage. Immediate joiners are preferred for this factory-based position in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Job Change Team in changing moulds and blanks according to the job change schedule.
• Perform product quality checks in accordance with established standards and inspection procedures
• Conduct hot-end bottle inspections every 30 minutes to ensure products meet customer specifications
• Perform swabbing according to the established swabbing schedule
• Inspect and gauge sample bottles from the machine every 30 minutes and record inspection results accurately
• Ensure the correct gob shape and required specifications are maintained during production.
• Ensure all mould equipment and machine parts removed during job changes are returned to the designated storage trays
• Monitor machine operation and promptly report any abnormalities or defects to the Supervisor
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the machine and surrounding work area
• Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards

Job description

Job Requirements:

Minimum SPM/SPVM qualification. Candidates with a Technical or Vocational Certificate (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related fields) are encouraged to apply.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment will have an added advantage.

Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation.

Able to read and follow work instructions and inspection procedures.

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of power control circuits is an added advantage.

Able to work in a factory environment, including rotating shifts if required.

Able to join immediately is an added advantage.
