Job summary

O-I BJC Glass Malaysia is hiring an entry-level technician to support mould changes and product checks in our manufacturing line. You will assist the Job Change Team, change moulds and blanks per schedule, and perform hot-end inspections every 30 minutes to ensure quality.

You will swab according to schedule, inspect bottles, record inspection results, and maintain correct gob shape and specifications. This role requires reading work instructions, basic mechanical skills, and a willingness to

• Fresh graduates welcome; 1–2 years in manufacturing beneficial.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation.

• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to join immediately is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Job description

Assist the Job Change Team in changing moulds and blanks according to the job change schedule

Perform product quality checks in accordance with established standards and inspection procedures

Conduct hot-end bottle inspections every 30 minutes to ensure products meet customer specifications

Perform swabbing according to the established swabbing schedule

Inspect and gauge sample bottles from the machine every 30 minutes and record inspection results accurately

Ensure the correct gob shape and required specifications are maintained during production.

Ensure all mould equipment and machine parts removed during job changes are returned to the designated storage trays

Monitor machine operation and promptly report any abnormalities or defects to the Supervisor

Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the machine and surrounding work area

Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards

Job Requirements:

• Minimum SPM/SPVM qualification. Candidates with a Technical or Vocational Certificate (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related fields) are encouraged to apply.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment will have an added advantage.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation.
• Able to read and follow work instructions and inspection procedures.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of power control circuits is an added advantage.
• Able to work in a factory environment, including rotating shifts if required.
• Able to join immediately is an added advantage.
