Job summary

Leader Cable Industry Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee and monitor the daily operation of cable production lines, including wire drawing, stranding, insulation extrusion, armoring and sheathing. You will plan machine allocations and operator shifts to hit production targets while ensuring quality benchmarks.

The role requires strict adherence to Shop Floor Job Orders, Manufacturing Standards and Work Instructions, plus 5S practices and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Plan and optimize machine allocations and operator shifts to meet targets.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to troubleshoot defects and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure finished products and in-process materials meet client requirements and international quality benchmarks
• Perform routing checks and in-process visual inspections to catch defects early
• Collaborate with Quality Control to troubleshoot defects and implement corrective actions
• Operate and guide technicians and operators in setting up production machinery safely
• Identify and report mechanical or electrical defects to maintenance
• Enforce 5S and maintain clean, organized work areas
• Maintain accurate daily production logs, material consumption sheets, and efficiency reports

This role involves overseeing and monitoring the daily operation of cable production lines, including wire drawing, stranding, insulation extrusion, armoring, and sheathing. Ensure all finished products and in-process materials meet client requirements and international quality benchmarks

Perform regular routing checks and in-process visual inspections to catch defects early

Collaborate with the Quality Control team to troubleshoot defects, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions

Operate and guide technicians and operators in setting up production machinery safely

Identify, document, and report mechanical or electrical defects in machinery promptly to the maintenance department

Enforce and practice 5S activities to maintain a clean, orderly, and highly organized work area and machinery

Maintain accurate daily production logs, material consumption sheets, and efficiency output reports
