Job summary

DF Integrated (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks an Engineering Section Head (Cable Harness Assembly) to lead a team of engineers across design, development, NPI, processes and the implementation of new engineering projects.

You will oversee project start-up, production readiness, documentation, and cost control, while collaborating with NPI, QA and Operations to deliver quality, timely products at optimal cost.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 5-8 years experience as Engineering Section Head in a Production Manufacturing Environment.
• Proficiency in Electrical Engineering Techniques & Principles.
• Ability to manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously, Prioritize tasks and Meet Deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering team across design, development, NPI, processes and implementation of new engineering projects.
• Oversee New Engineering Project Implementation and support development of new projects, enhancements and process improvements to improve quality, productivity and cost.
• Direct manufacturing operations through training, work-instructions, and driving efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (NPI, QA, Operations) to deliver solutions meeting customer needs.
• Drive production readiness, equipment validation, and cost control across front-end and back-end operations.
• Ensure timely delivery of manufactured products meeting specifications and cost targets.

Engineering Section Head (Cable Harness Assembly)

To lead, To Managing a team of engineers in the Design, Development, NPI, Processes and Implementation of New Engineering Projects.

To Lead and Oversee New Engineering Project Implementation, Support Engineering Team on development of new project, Enhancement and Improvements Program in Equipment, Processes and Systems to improve quality, Productivity and Cost of manufacturing, Ensuring Quality Standards, and Fostering a Collaborative Team Environment.

To lead and manage the manufacturing operations through the Training, Work-Instructions Documentation, Out-Put Driven, Motivating and Directing of staff towards Higher Efficiency Quality and Productivity.

The Assistant Engineering Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including New Product Development (NPI), QA quality assurance, and Operations, to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs and align with organizational goals.

Strong operations background with proven experience in Manufacturing start up & Ramping Environment. Ability to lead cross functional teams, drive process discipline & enforce standard work across Front end & Backend operations.

Solid understanding of Production Line Readiness, Equipment & Fixture validation, BOM, Material flow & Cost Control. Capable of fast problem solving, data driven decision making & managing high customer visibility program.

Lead end to end operations, ensuring smooth production, quality, shift output, delivery & cost performance

To ensure timely delivery of manufactured products which confirm to customer’s specification and requirements, is of the desired quality and manufactured at the lowest possible cost, by planning and directing available engineering resources towards resolving all production – related quality and technical issues, and implementing continual process re-engineering and improvements.

To handle new product development in terms of product design, process design and sample preparation.

Demonstrated leadership, clear communication & hands on execution mindset to ensure quality, delivery & yield targets are consistently achieved.

Requirement & Qualification:

At least 5-8 years experience as Engineering Section Head in a Production Manufacturing Environment.

Diploma, Degree in Electrical Engineering from recognized university or equivalent.

Proficiency in Electrical Engineering Techniques & Principles.

Ability to manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously, Prioritize tasks, and Meet Deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for effectively communicating with cross-functional teams.

Capability to identify technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.

Electronics Manufacturing will be desired.
