Job summary

Eramas Ingredients Sdn Bhd in Negeri Sembilan seeks a Production Manager/Assistant Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery, and drive continuous improvement across lines.

You will plan production schedules, manage budgets, coordinate RM/PM planning with PPIC, work with R&D on NPD trials, lead the production team, monitor OEE, and implement PDCA cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of production management experience in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
• Proven track record in improving efficiency and reducing downtime.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; able to work under pressure.

The Production Manager/Assistant Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively while meeting quality standards and delivery timelines. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with proven experience in managing production lines and driving continuous improvements.

Key responsibilities

Plan, organize, and oversee production schedules to meet company targets.

Review weekly and monthly production planning based on forecast and budget.

Prepare and manage the annual production budget.

Work with PPIC for raw material (RM) and packaging material (PM) planning.

Collaborate with R&D for new product development (NPD) trial runs.

Manage and lead the production team to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.

Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.

Ensure adequate resources (manpower, machines, and materials) are available to meet production demands.

Maintain and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for sprayer or packing lines.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including PDCA projects for annual cost savings.

About you

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.

5 years of working experience in production management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement tools.

Proven track record in improving efficiency, reducing downtime, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
