Job summary

Beryl's Chocolate Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned Production Manager in Bandar Baru Bangi to oversee manufacturing processes, monitor equipment effectiveness, and drive productivity while controlling costs.

The role requires leadership to train and develop the production team, ensure safety and quality standards, and manage planning to meet delivery commitments. Strong HACCP & GMP knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering (Industrial) / Food Science / Food Technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong organizational, planning and management skills; excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Leadership capabilities with knowledge of HACCP & GMP procedures.
• Self-motivated, proactive problem-solver with a good attitude.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing processes to monitor overall equipment effectiveness and production performance.
• Identify operational losses and benchmark progress to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Analyze incidents and recommend prevention measures to boost productivity.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs of production equipment with scheduled downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards including Halal, GMP, HACCP, DOSH, DOE.
• Lead and develop the production team to achieve optimum productivity.

Beryl's Chocolate Sdn Bhd – Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor

To assist Factory Manager to oversee the overall manufacturing processes to monitor and track overall equipment effectiveness in terms of availability, performance and quality in utilization of man power, machine efficiency and materials in production.

Identify operational losses, benchmarking progress, improve the productivity and yet reduce the cost of overall production operations.

Analyze operational incidents and make recommendations to prevent future occurrence for achieving higher productivity in production lines.

Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment to ensure smooth work operations.

Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.

To strategize and direct the planning of production activities in assigned production lines to meet delivery dates according to sales forecast, planning and/or customers' orders while meeting standards of safety and quality.

Lead, motivate, train and upgrade the technical and production skills of the production team to achieve optimum productivity.

Provide strong leadership to production team, ensure high morale, teamwork, good employee relations, and promote team collaboration across the organization.

Ensure production activities are in compliance to standard of safety policies: Halal, GMP, HACCP, DOSH, DOE and all other statutory requirements.

Assist in the execution of R&D initiatives to improve recipes, reduce cost and introduce new product when necessary.

Attend weekly/monthly meetings and prepare daily/monthly reports as requested.

To monitoring and checking and to ensure the following are carried out accordingly:

Production schedule / date of delivery

Material stock in proper requirement quality in accordance to specification

Higher recovery rate

Staff and workers affairs / safety

14. To undertake any other related duties and responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering (Industrial) / Food Science / Food Technology or equivalent.

Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing industry.

Possess excellent organizational, planning and management skills; outstanding interpersonal, teamwork skills as well as analytical, problem solving andand hands-on skills in any technical discipline.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities and have a strong knowledge of HACCP & GMP procedures.

Possess strong leadership, self-motivated, aggressive, result oriented with a good positive working attitude and pro-active in problem solving.
