Job summary

• Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) – both spoken and written – to use as a working language
• Basic English or Malay communication skills are a plus
• Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills
• Detail oriented, responsible, and highly adaptable with a strong willingness to learn
• Able to work in a production environment with a fast pace and follow work instructions

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor in managing the procurement of production materials
• Conduct price inquiries, comparisons, and negotiations to ensure cost-effective purchasing
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers; build and maintain a supplier database
• Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Handle the receiving, inspection, and system entry of incoming production materials
• Ensure accurate entry of material information into the company's management system and update inventory data in a timely manner
• Participate in regular inventory counts to ensure physical stock matches system records
• Track material usage and promptly report inventory alerts when stock levels are low
• Assist the supervisor in daily management and work assignments for frontline production workers
• Communicate production plans and work requirements, and follow up on production progress
