Job summary

YD SEA ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGY Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on Production Lead to oversee daily operations in stamping, cage, assembly, wash, robotics, and plastic injection molding. You will manage a team, ensure output targets, and drive quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

The role requires strong leadership, technical skills in tooling and setup, and the ability to troubleshoot production issues while maintaining documentation and adherence to quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in SMT, assembly, robotics, cage, wash, metal stamping or plastic injection molding.
• Hands-on machine, mold and tooling setup, changeover, maintenance.
• Quality inspection and defect identification with inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production across metal stamping, cage, assembly, wash, robotic and plastic injection molding operations.

• Track output, quality, productivity, downtime and manpower performance.
• Oversee machine, mold and tooling setup, readiness and changeovers.
• Coordinate mold, tooling and preventive maintenance; troubleshoot basic production issues.
• Conduct or support first-piece, in-process and final inspections.
• Identify stamping and injection molding defects; partner with Quality on root cause and corrective action.
• Control rejection, scrap and production abnormalities.
• Train and motivate the team; enforce work instructions, quality, safety and 5S standards.

We are a precision electronics manufacturer with end-to-end capabilities in product and mold design, precision stamping and injection molding, surface treatment, assembly and testing.

The role

Lead daily production across metal stamping, cage, assembly, wash, robotic and plastic injection molding operations. Manage people, output, quality, safety and continuous improvement in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

What you’ll do

Lead operators and technicians, set manpower plans and deliver daily production targets.

Track output, quality, productivity, downtime and manpower performance.

Oversee machine, mold and tooling setup, readiness and changeovers.

Coordinate mold, tooling and preventive maintenance; troubleshoot basic production issues.

Conduct or support first-piece, in-process and final inspections.

Identify stamping and injection molding defects; partner with Quality on root cause and corrective action.

Control rejection, scrap and production abnormalities.

Train and motivate the team; enforce work instructions, quality, safety and 5S standards.

Maintain production, inspection, setup and maintenance records.

Work with Production, Quality, Engineering and Maintenance to resolve issues.

Support continuous improvement and perform other duties assigned by Management.

What you’ll bring

3+ years of manufacturing experience.

Experience in SMT, assembly, robotics, cage, wash, metal stamping or plastic injection molding.

Hands-on machine, mold and tooling setup, changeover, maintenance and basic troubleshooting skills.

Quality inspection and defect identification experience, including use of vernier calipers, micrometers and other inspection equipment.

Experience supervising production operators and technicians.

Understanding of production processes, quality control and manufacturing practices.

Ability to read basic engineering drawings and product specifications.

Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Independent, responsible, disciplined and able to work under pressure.

Willing to work overtime or shifts when required.

Preferred experience

Metal stamping, plastic molding, SMT, assembly, wash or cage processes

Machine, mold and tooling setup or changeover and maintenance

Quality inspection, QC, defect analysis and production troubleshooting

Operator and technician supervision

ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or IATF 16949 manufacturing environments
