Job summary

KSP Metal Finishing Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Production Engineer to oversee our aluminium anodizing line, manage daily production activities, and lead the team to hit quality, safety, and delivery targets.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, with 3+ years in aluminium anodizing or metal finishing, and strong leadership and communication skills. Fluency in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Mandarin is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in aluminium anodizing or related fields (metal finishing, electroplating, or surface treatment).
• Fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Mandarin for liaising with local and overseas partners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily production schedules, manpower allocation, and workflow.
• Supervise aluminium anodizing operations (pre-treatment, anodizing, rinsing, sealing).
• Ensure process parameters and chemical bath conditions are monitored and within limits.
• Develop, review, and improve special process workflows and parameters.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to reduce defects.
• Coordinate with quality and laboratory staff to meet customer specifications and inspection requirements.
• Train and supervise production operators to ensure compliance with work instructions and safe procedures.
• Oversee equipment upkeep and coordinate servicing/repairs to maintain reliability.
• Monitor productivity, chemical consumption, and production costs; identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate production records and process logs.

We are seeking a Production Engineer to oversee daily aluminium anodizing operations in our newly established production line. The successful candidate will manage production activities, lead the production team, and ensure that quality, safety, and delivery targets are achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily production schedules, manpower allocation, and workflow
• Supervise aluminium anodizing operations, such as pre-treatment, anodizing, rinsing, and sealing
• Ensure process parameters and chemical bath conditions are monitored and maintained within approved limits
• Develop, review, and continuously improve special process workflows and parameters
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and reworks
• Work closely with quality and laboratory personnel to meet customer specifications and inspection requirements
• Train and supervise production operators to ensure compliance with work instructions and safe operating procedures
• Oversee equipment upkeep and coordinate servicing and repairs with external service providers as needed to maintain equipment reliability
• Monitor productivity, chemical consumption, and production costs, and identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain accurate production records and process logs

About you

• Diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of experience in aluminium anodizing or a related field, such as metal finishing, electroplating, or surface treatment
• Sound understanding of chemical processing, process control, and production quality requirements
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage production priorities and coordinate effectively with other departments
• Fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Mandarin to liaise with local and overseas partners
