Job summary

Cortex Robotics Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering graduate to support assembly, testing, and integration of AOI vision systems for diverse industrial sectors. You will prepare material requests, assist in assembly, set up test stations, run tests, troubleshoot, and collaborate with Project, Quality, and Operations to meet delivery timelines.

Fresh or 1–2 years’ experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Mechatronics engineering.
• Fresh graduates or 1–2 years' experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electrical/electronic systems, computer hardware, and AOI/automation.
• Proficient with hand tools, soldering, multimeters, and PC wiring/setup.
• Strong problem-solving and communication; able to work independently or in teams; willing to work long hours when required.

Job description

Prepare Material Request Forms against BOMs and withdraw components from store to be utilized in the equipment assembly

Assist in mechanical assembly of the modules / equipments.

Set up test stations, test and integrate AOI/vision systems against application specs

Run functional/operational/acceptance testing per standard procedures.

Liaise with Project, Quality, and Operations to keep project on track.

Assemble and test Industrial Racks/PCs for vision systems to meet delivery timelines.

Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis on system/component failures, coordinating with QA on defective parts.

Maintain SOPs, work records, and support Engineering on cost-reduction and quality initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronics preferred)

Fresh or experience graduates (1–2 years') with relevant experience

Working knowledge of mechanical/electrical/electronic systems, computer hardware, and AOI/automation

Comfortable with hand tools, soldering, multimeters, and PC wiring/setup

Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to work independently and with teams, occasional long hours/weekends when required
