Job summary

AIM GLOBALTECH PTE LTD in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a Production Engineer to review mechanical and electrical drawings, support machine assembly, and drive improvements in production processes. You will coordinate with engineers to implement changes and ensure quality during build and integration.

The role requires a degree and hands-on experience with mechanical, pneumatic and control systems, with involvement in FAT/SAT activities and on-site deployments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical and electrical drawings to ensure designs are practical and suitable for manufacturing, assembly and machine integration.
• Provide technical support to production technicians during machine assembly and resolve drawing, fitment, alignment and assembly-related issues.
• Support and verify mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and control-system integration according to approved engineering drawings and specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and production-related issues, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Control/Software and Project Engineers on design changes, technical issues and machine modifications.
• Monitor progress of machine build and integration, identify risks and ensure engineering requirements are met during production.
• Support machine testing, debugging and optimization to improve performance, reliability and build quality.
• Prepare FAT/SAT activities and ensure readiness, including installation and test at site when required.
• Develop and improve assembly methods, production processes and work instructions to reduce rework and bottlenecks.
• Verify production and assembly work against drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Prepare and maintain production engineering documentation including records, checklists and modification logs.
• Ensure all engineering changes are communicated to the production team.
• Record recurring technical issues and apply preventive improvements to future builds.
• Perform other production engineering and project-related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and production-related issues, perform root cause analysis and implement appropriate corrective actions.

Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Control/Software and Project Engineers on design changes, technical issues and machine modifications.

Monitor the technical progress of machine build and integration, identify potential risks and ensure engineering requirements are correctly implemented during production.

Support machine testing, debugging and optimization to improve machine performance, reliability and overall build quality.

Support Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) preparation, punch-list rectification and machine readiness, including installation and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) activities when required.

Develop and improve assembly methods, production processes and work instructions to reduce rework, eliminate bottlenecks and improve machine build efficiency.

Verify production and assembly work against engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, work instructions and quality requirements.

Prepare and maintain production engineering documentation, including technical records, inspection checklists, test documents, modifications and improvement records.

Ensure all engineering changes and technical updates are properly documented and communicated to the production team.

Record recurring technical issues and apply lessons learned and preventive improvements to future machine builds.

Perform other production engineering and project-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
