Job summary

Perfex International is seeking a Production Engineer in Malaysia to support engineering, production and material planning by preparing drawings, generating machine programs, and managing production documentation. Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, DXF/CNC and BOM control will be advantageous in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Chinese speaking is required to coordinate with China-based counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings and assess manufacturability for production feasibility.
• Create machine programs for turret punch and laser cutting; optimize material use.
• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for production planning.
• Prepare and manage production documentation with revision control.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Production and Warehouse on material requirements.
• Support process improvements and best-practices implementation.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will support engineering, production, and material planning activities by preparing technical drawings, creating machine programs, managing production documentation, and coordinating with cross-functional departments to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.

Fresh graduates with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Engineering Drawing & Technical Review

• Review and verify engineering drawings received from the design team.
• Evaluate product designs for manufacturability, machine capabilities, and production feasibility.
• Coordinate with designers to resolve technical issues and recommend design improvements.
• Generate DXF files for CNC programming.
• Prepare accurate 2D production/shop floor drawings for manufacturing.

2. Bill of Materials (BOM) Management

• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) based on engineering drawings and production requirements.
• Ensure BOM accuracy for production planning and inventory control.
• Understand manufacturing processes and production flow requirements.

3. Machine Programming

• Create machine programs for turret punch and laser cutting machines.
• Verify program accuracy and optimize material utilization to reduce waste.
• Support production during machine setup, testing, and troubleshooting.

4. Production Documentation & Control

• Prepare and manage production-related documents in accordance with company procedures and ISO standards.
• Ensure timely issuance of production documents, including: Engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), work orders and technical documentation
• Maintain proper document revision control and filing systems.

5. Material Planning & Production Coordination

• Plan and monitor material usage to ensure continuous production.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Production and Warehouse teams regarding material requirements.
• Assist in minimizing material shortages and production downtime.
• Support production scheduling and workflow coordination.
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and material utilization.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Support implementation of engineering and manufacturing best practices.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience are welcome to apply.
