We are seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Process Engineer to support the operation and continuous improvement of our smart automation assembly facility in Malaysia. This role is responsible for ensuring assembly processes are implemented in accordance with company production standards, supporting daily manufacturing operations, maintaining product quality, and resolving technical issues related to assembly and automation processes.
The engineer will work closely with production operators, procurement, suppliers, and engineering teams to ensure stable production, efficient assembly operations, and consistent product quality. The role requires regular hands‑on involvement on the production floor, including supporting assembly operations, troubleshooting equipment, diagnosing product issues, and performing repair work when required. Occasional travel to subsidiary locations may be required to support on‑site troubleshooting and product repair.
Responsibilities
1. Process Implementation & Control
- Implement and maintain standardized assembly processes and work procedures within the Malaysia facility.
- Ensure production activities are performed in accordance with company technical standards and assembly requirements.
- Support process setup, improvement, and documentation for assembly operations.
2. Production Support
- Support daily manufacturing and assembly operations to ensure stable production flow.
- Provide technical guidance to production operators during assembly activities.
- Assist in the setup, adjustment, and improvement of assembly tools, fixtures, and equipment when required.
3. Quality Assurance & Inspection
- Perform in‑process quality checks and final inspections to ensure products meet company quality standards before shipment.
- Maintain basic QA records and support investigation of quality issues.
- Assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions when defects or failures occur.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to assembly processes, materials, components, and automation equipment.
- Perform hands‑on repair and rework of products when required to resolve technical or quality issues.
- Support problem‑solving activities to restore normal production operations.
5. Supplier & Technical Coordination
- Work with procurement to review technical specifications before purchasing components or materials.
- Ensure purchased parts meet product and assembly requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve technical issues related to components or materials.
6. Overseas Technical Support
- Provide technical support to overseas subsidiaries when required.
- Travel to subsidiary locations to perform on‑site troubleshooting, product diagnosis, and repair.
- Work with engineering teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
7. Other Duties
- Perform other duties assigned by management related to manufacturing operations, technical support, and production improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Experience in assembly manufacturing, automation systems, or electronics production is preferred.
- Strong hands‑on troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability in production environments.
- Ability to work directly with operators and support production on the shop floor.
- Basic understanding of quality control and production processes.
- Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply.
- Good communication and coordination skills when working with HQ teams, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Willingness and ability to travel to overseas subsidiaries for on‑site troubleshooting, product repair, and technical support when required.
