Job summary

Lynas Rare Earths Limited is seeking 2 Production Coordinators to join our new department at LAMP, Kuantan. The successful candidates will coordinate operational, maintenance, and production requirements to ensure efficient facility performance.

The ideal candidates should have a diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, or Material Engineering, complemented by at least 10 years of experience in relevant industries. Proficiency in both Bahasa Malaysia and English is required, along with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in heavy industrial, chemical or mineral processing environments.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Brownfield or Greenfield engineering projects.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP) or training in HAZOP/PSM Level 3.
• Good interpersonal skills to interact with diverse cultures.
• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Project teams.
• Participate in HAZOP studies and risk assessments.
• Provide operational input to engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate operational readiness activities.
• Ensure operational requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills

Diploma in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Material Engineering

Job description

An exciting opportunity exists for 2 Production Coordinator to join our new department at LAMP, Kuantan. He/ she is coordinating operational, maintenance, and production requirements throughout project development and plant operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility performance.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Act as the primary liaison between Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Project teams to ensure plant designs, systems, and facilities are safe, operable, maintainable, and aligned with operational requirements.
• Participate in HAZOP studies, design reviews, risk assessments, and operational readiness activities to ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including DOSH and LOTO standards.
• Review and provide operational input to engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, operating philosophies, maintenance strategies, cleaning systems, and commissioning plans to support efficient and reliable plant operations.
• Coordinate operational readiness activities, including development of operating procedures, technical documentation, training requirements, commissioning support, and plant handover preparation.
• Support project execution by ensuring operational requirements, shutdown planning, maintainability, process capability, and asset reliability considerations are incorporated throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements of the successful candidate:

• Diploma in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Material Engineering or other technical related discipline with minimum 10 years’ experience in heavy industrial, chemical or mineral processing environments.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Brownfield or Greenfield FEED/Detailed Engineering projects, specifically acting as the operational liaison.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP) or formal training in HAZOP/PSM Level 3.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to confidently interact with people of all cultures at all levels.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Additional language will be an advantage.
• Must be willing to work in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia.
