Job summary

ResMed in Malaysia is seeking a Production Coordinator to support daily production planning and coordination, ensuring the smooth flow of materials, work orders and finished goods through the manufacturing process. You will collaborate with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse and Supply Chain teams to monitor schedules, resolve shortages and maintain records to hit targets and on-time delivery.

Based in iPark Senai, Johor Bahru; Diploma or degree in a related field with 3–5 years’

• 3–5 years of experience in production coordination or related roles.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production schedules to support manufacturing requirements and customer demand.
• Monitor work order progress and ensure activities are completed on schedule.
• Track production output and escalate delays or issues impacting delivery commitments.
• Support production teams in maintaining schedule adherence and operational efficiency.
• Create, release, and maintain production orders in ERP/MRP systems.
• Update schedules based on changing priorities and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Maintain production records and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.

Role Summary

The Production Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily production planning and coordination activities to ensure the efficient flow of materials, work orders, and finished goods through the manufacturing process.

This role works closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to monitor production schedules, resolve shortages, track order progress, and maintain accurate production records. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production targets and customer delivery commitments are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Production Coordination

• - Coordinate daily production schedules to support manufacturing requirements and customer demand.
• - Monitor work order progress and ensure production activities are completed according to schedule.
• - Track production output and elevate any delays or issues impacting delivery commitments.
• - Support production teams in maintaining schedule adherence and operational efficiency.

Material & Inventory Management

• - Monitor material availability to support production requirements.
• - Work closely with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Supply Planning teams to resolve material shortages.
• - Assist in inventory monitoring and stock reconciliation activities.
• - Ensure timely availability of materials for production.

Order & Schedule Management

• - Create, release, and maintain production orders within ERP/MRP systems.
• - Update production schedules based on changing business priorities and operational requirements.
• - Communicate production status and schedule changes to relevant stakeholders.
• - Support fulfilment of customer orders through effective coordination with cross-functional teams.

Reporting & Data Management

• - Maintain accurate production records and system transactions.
• - Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• - Monitor key performance indicators such as schedule attainment, backlog, inventory levels, and on-time delivery.
• - Support data analysis and reporting activities to improve production performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• - Liaise with Production, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, and Warehouse teams to support business objectives.
• - Participate in planning and operational review meetings.
• - Escalate production risks, material constraints, or delays in a timely manner.
• - Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Required

• - Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Production Coordination, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or a related role.
• - Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• - Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• - Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred

• - Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or equivalent.
• - Experience in medical device, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
• - Knowledge of production scheduling and inventory control.
• - Experience preparing operational reports and production metrics.
• - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
