Aufgaben

• Report production discrepancies and operational issues to management.
• Work closely with the production, warehouse, QA/QC, and purchasing teams and participate in trials and new product development.

We are seeking a responsible, proactive, and hardworking Production Assistant with a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field to support our daily chocolate manufacturing operations.

The successful candidate will assist in monitoring production activities, coordinating materials, maintaining production records, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. The candidate must be willing to learn, take initiative, and work closely with the production team and management to improve operational efficiency and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Operations

Assist in monitoring daily production activities and ensuring production schedules and targets are met.

Monitor production progress and report delays, material shortages, equipment issues, and operational problems to management.

Ensure production follows approved recipes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Coordinate with production operators, warehouse personnel, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and minimise wastage.

2. Food Safety & Compliance

Ensure production activities comply with ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and company food safety procedures.

Monitor production floor cleanliness, personal hygiene, and housekeeping practices.

Ensure production personnel follow established hygiene and food handling requirements.

Report food safety hazards, contamination risks, and non-conformities promptly.

Cooperate with the QA/QC team during inspections, audits, and corrective action follow-ups.

3. Raw Materials & Packaging

Coordinate raw material and packaging requirements with the warehouse and purchasing departments.

Ensure the correct materials and packaging are used for each production order.

Monitor material usage and report shortages, wastage, or discrepancies.

Assist in tracking production output and finished goods.

4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate daily production reports, batch records, and production sheets.

Record production output, material consumption, wastage, and rejected products.

Ensure production documentation is completed and submitted on time.

Report production discrepancies and operational issues to management.

5. General Responsibilities

Work closely with the production, warehouse, QA/QC, and purchasing teams.

Assist with production trials and new product development when required.

Take initiative in identifying and reporting operational issues.

Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Willingness to learn and develop practical knowledge of chocolate manufacturing and production processes.

Must be responsible, disciplined, proactive, and attentive to detail.

Must be able to follow instructions, work independently when required, and collaborate effectively with the team.

Must be willing to work on the production floor in a food manufacturing environment.

Must comply with the company's ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, hygiene, and food safety requirements.

Valid typhoid vaccination is required for the role, subject to applicable food-handler requirements.

Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, are an advantage.

Previous experience in food manufacturing or production is an advantage but not compulsory.
