Job summary

Code Interview in Kuala Lumpur seeks a hands-on operator to identify product opportunities through customer conversations and market research. You will own outreach, synthesize findings, and translate insights into product specs, working with the CEO to decide direction and speed.

You’ll test ideas using landing pages and pilots, then help shape a first product customers will pay for. You will use AI tools to assist research and writing, ensuring final outputs reflect customer needs and business

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in startup operations, consulting, product or business analysis, or as an associate product manager.
• Strong written English for US/UK customers.
• Comfortable talking to customers and asking difficult questions.
• Ability to question assumptions and explain doubts with clarity.
• Understanding of technical concepts to write a spec engineers can use.
• Ability to turn vague questions into a clear one-page brief in a day.
• Willingness to take responsibility for project outcomes and see tasks through.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer outreach and interviews, initially with the CEO, then independently.
• Synthesize research insights and turn them into product specifications.
• Evaluate competing products, pricing, and market size; extract actionable implications.
• Propose what to do, and justify recommendations, even if they diverge from CEO preferences.
• Draft clear specs for engineers and collaborate on rapid prototypes.
• Maintain daily check-ins and weekly planning with the CEO, tracking decisions.
