Job summary

DKSH is seeking a Product Specialist to drive promotion and adoption of assigned medical products across private and government hospitals in Penang, Kedah, and Perlis. You will engage healthcare professionals with scientific detailing, CME programs, and product updates to support sales growth.

The role requires a life sciences background, 1–2 years in medical sales, willingness to travel across the territory, and the ability to translate clinical benefits into customer value.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biology, or a related science discipline.
• 1 to 2 years of sales experience preferred; fresh graduates with strong science background are welcome.
• Prior experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive the adoption of assigned medical products through scientific detailing, specialist-level product presentations, and CME programmes for healthcare professionals across designated territories.
• Develop and execute territory sales plans based on market insights and marketing direction, ensuring timely implementation of agreed sales activities across private and government hospital accounts.
• Achieve sales targets by tracking performance against KPIs and regularly reviewing progress with the immediate superior.
• Conduct customer calls and visits to provide product updates, collect orders, support product enlistment in hospitals, and communicate product features and clinical benefits in line with marketing strategies.
• Gather and share market intelligence on competitor activities with marketing and sales leadership to support informed business decisions.
• Submit accurate and timely sales forecasts in accordance with reporting requirements set by the immediate superior.
• Maintain and update customer data in the customer master list, ensuring accuracy and identifying opportunities to grow customer potential.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely product delivery and strengthen relationships with key hospital accounts.
• Respond promptly to customer orders and enquiries, and proactively communicate promotions, new products, and product upgrades to current and prospective customers.
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required.

About the Role

The Product Specialist is responsible for driving the promotion and adoption of assigned medical products across private and government hospital accounts in Penang, Kedah, and Perlis. This role is integral to DKSH's Healthcare business, connecting healthcare professionals with the right solutions while consistently delivering sales results that contribute to sustainable business growth.

What You Will Deliver

• Drive the adoption of assigned medical products through scientific detailing, specialist-level product presentations, and the organization of Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes for healthcare professionals across designated territories.
• Develop and execute territory sales plans based on market insights and marketing direction, ensuring timely implementation of agreed sales activities across private and government hospital accounts.
• Achieve sales targets by tracking performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and regularly reviewing progress with the immediate superior.
• Conduct customer calls and visits to provide product updates, collect orders, support product enlistment in hospitals, and communicate product features and clinical benefits in line with marketing strategies.
• Gather and share market intelligence on competitor activities with marketing and sales leadership to support informed business decisions.

What You Bring
