Job summary

COHERENT is hiring a Product Quality Engineer (PQE) to ensure product quality and reliability across the manufacturing lifecycle. You will own health indicators, drive corrective actions, support NPI transitions, and ensure customer satisfaction through robust quality controls and issue resolution.

You will lead cross-functional teams for quality improvements, collaborate with NPI and production, and manage defect handling, failure analysis, and quality documentation in a QMS-compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience in quality assurance within manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO/QMS and RCA methods (ICAR/CAR).

Responsibilities

• Assess and improve QC procedures to boost effectiveness and efficiency.
• Own QA product/process health indicators and dashboards (e.g., DPPM).
• Analyze QA/test/process failures and drive corrective actions (ICAR/CAR).
• Lead cross-functional teams for product quality and reliability projects (NPI and sustaining).
• Collaborate with NPI, engineering, production, supplier quality and customer teams on escalations and improvements.
• Handle defect verification, root cause analysis, containment, and lot disposition; oversee quality release decisions.
