Job summary

Coherent, a global leader in lasers and engineered materials, seeks a Product Quality Engineer (PQE) to assure product quality and reliability across the manufacturing lifecycle. You will own health indicators, drive CAPAs, and enable NPI transitions while ensuring customer satisfaction through robust quality controls and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing quality systems and QMS in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of PFMEA/Risk assessment and CAPA management.
• Strong root cause analysis and corrective action skills (ICAR/CAR).

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA product/process health indicators and dashboards.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions for QA/test/process failures.
• Lead cross-functional teams for NPI and sustaining quality improvements.
• Support NPI transitions and mass production readiness.
• Manage defect verification, lot disposition, and quality release decisions.
• Prepare quality reports and maintain compliant QMS documentation.
