Job summary

Dyson design engineers in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, tackle complex design problems to deliver robust, manufacturable products. You will generate multiple design concepts, define clear requirements, and plan tasks by risk and interdependencies while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

You will also create detailed design definitions, collaborate with manufacturing for producibility, and participate in design reviews to ensure quality and cost targets are met.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Engineering or science, preferably mechanical, electromechanical, or product design.
• Fresh graduates with industrial training or engineers with less than 2 years in plastic design, tooling, molding, and tolerance analysis.
• DFMEA and PFMEA knowledge.
• Fluent in English, good communication.
• Experience in home appliances R&D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust, manufacturable designs and design concepts.
• Plan tasks by risk, maturity, and interdependencies; track progress.
• Create detailed specs, 3D models, BOMs and drawings.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure producibility and cost targets.
• Support design reviews and change requests with clear documentation.
• Work with cross-functional teams to assess supplier documents and quality.
