Job summary

bolttech in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Digital Product Manager / Product Owner to own policy admin system features, collaborating with Hong Kong General Insurance and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business value.

You will manage the product backlog, prioritize by ROI, drive agile ceremonies, plan releases, and track performance post-launch to inform iterations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or IT with insurance industry experience.
• Digital product management experience in Product Owner or Senior BA roles.

Responsibilities

• Work with business and tech teams to drive product delivery from concept to launch.
• Track roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, milestones, and mitigate issues.
• Facilitate quarterly and annual roadmap planning with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with GI domain to create and maintain backlog and prioritize by ROI.
• Prioritize features considering viability, feasibility and costs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure delivery of strategies for existing or new products.
• Manage agile cadence: prioritization meetings, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog, standups, demos, retros.
• Develop tracking of product performance post-launch for iterations.
• Lead product release planning and set expectations for new functionalities.
• Compile user stories on configuration, docs, workflows and reports.
• Test delivery to meet expectations and triage defects.
• Support investigation and resolution of production issues.

... be responsible to own the features and solution of a new policy admin system. You will collaborate with respective domain stakeholders from Hong Kong General Insurance (including Business Development, Products and UW, Claims, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Technology, etc.) to delivery business features / products and meeting business goals.

You will be responsible for…

• Work closely with business and technology team to drive products and features delivery from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment
• Track roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones, proactively escalating issues and proposing mitigation plans to ensure roadmap commitments are achieved.
• Facilitate quarterly and annual roadmap planning sessions with business and technology stakeholders to align investment priorities and delivery capacity.
• Coordinate with GI business domain team to create and maintain a product backlog, and prioritize the backlog according to business value or ROI
• Prioritize features and tasks by taking into account business viability, feasibility, design and development costs
• Collaborating cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of strategies within the lifecycle of existing products or new products
• Manage and drive the agile cadence including host prioritization meetings, create users stories, acceptance criteria, backlog management, standup meetings, demo, retrospective, etc.
• Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future iterations
• Lead the planning of product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities.
• Compile user stories on product configuration, documents, workflows, and reports
• Testing the tech delivery to ensure it meeting the expectation
• Manage defects identified in testing stage, investigate and triage to corresponding party for fixing
• Support the investigation and resolution of production issues.

You will require the following qualifications and skills

• Degree holder in Business or Information Technology with experience in the insurance industry
• An experienced digital professional with more than 5 years in the digital product management industry in roles of Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst
• Practical experience in running prioritization meeting, specifying user requirements, and managing User Acceptance Testing
• Experienced in Agile methodology project delivery working with offshore team
• Good knowledge in insurance operations, systems and workflow practices, including NB, policy administration, claims, compensation, tied agency and Finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with being organized, structured and proactive.
• Good communication skills, able to work with user departments and vendors.
• Good problem solving and strong analytical skills, able to clearly present results systematically and logically.
• Innovative with good presentation and communication skill
• Good team player, self-initiative and able to work independently
• Written and Speaking: English MUST, Cantonese – MUST
